Can Psilocybin Help the Brain Heal Itself?  That’s the question behind a  from UC San Francisco. Researchers gave psilocybin (the psychoactive compound in magic mushrooms) to patients with Parkinson’s disease, not to treat tremors, but to address a less visible issue: their mood.

In this small pilot study, participants with mild-to-moderate Parkinson’s received two doses of psilocybin (10mg, then 25mg), alongside psychotherapy sessions.
